We're looking for a Carpenter with solid rough and developing finish carpentry skills who takes pride in their craftsmanship and is hungry to grow their trade.

As a Level 2/3 Carpenter, you work under the direction of our Lead Carpenter and Site Supervisor, executing your assigned scope with skill and independence while continuing to build toward higher-level finish work and, over time, leadership on site.

We utilize JobTread, a leading construction management platform, to keep our projects on track and our team connected. As a Level 2/3 Carpenter, you will use your smartphone to track your day, access specifications, and follow tasks assigned to you.

Your Digital Responsibilities:

- Daily Logging: Use the JobTread app to log progress, upload daily build or millwork photos, and communicate any design hurdles or questions.
- Task Follow-Through: Check your daily schedule in the platform and confirm assigned tasks with the Lead Carpenter or Site Supervisor.
- Time Tracking: Accurately clock in/out and track your hours directly through the platform to ensure precise job costing.

Detailed Responsibilities

Rough Carpentry & Framing

- Structural Framing: Execute layout, measuring, cutting, and assembly of wood framing, floor joists, rafters, engineered lumber, and wall sections to spec,



under the direction of the Lead Carpenter.
- Precision Substructures: Install structural backing, blocking, window/door rough openings, and subfloor materials accurately to set up clean lines for succeeding trades.
- Blueprint Literacy: Read and follow architectural blueprints, structural sketches, and digital instructions within JobTread; ask for clarification when instructions are unclear rather than guessing.

Developing Finish Carpentry

- Doors & Trim: Install standard interior and exterior doors, baseboards, casing, and trim work independently; assist the Lead Carpenter on higher-end finish, crown molding, and custom millwork as you build proficiency.
- Hardware & Cabinetry: Assist with installing architectural hardware, millwork, and built-in components, working toward the accuracy expected at the Lead Carpenter level.
- Preservation & Deconstruction: Support careful dismantling of millwork or structural elements during renovations to safeguard areas intended for preservation.

Team Support & Growth

- On-Site Learning: Work alongside and learn from the Lead Carpenter; ask questions and seek feedback to accelerate your development.
- Supporting Junior Crew: As your experience grows, support Site Helpers and Apprentices with basic tasks and tool handling under the Lead Carpenter's guidance.
- Leadership by Example: Model a strong work ethic, tidy site presentation, and a "Safety First" mindset for those newer than you.

Dynamic Technical Support & Site Stewardship

- Flexible Hands-on Support: Maintain a team-first attitude. When specialized carpentry is not actively required, comfortably jump into general construction support tasks, such as drywall patching, caulking, painting, minor demolition, or safety setup.
- Tool & Site Stewardship: Maintain your carpentry tools meticulously. Ensure your workstation and the broader job site remain clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

What You AREN'T Expected to Do

We believe in setting our team up for success, not stress. As a Level 2/3 Carpenter, we respect your trade boundaries:

- Work Without Structural Clarity: If blueprints or digital instructions in JobTread are ambiguous, we do not expect you to guess.



We value open communication over wasting premium lumber.
- Carry Final Sign-Off on Complex Work: You are not the lead decision maker on complex finish or structural calls, those go to the Lead Carpenter or Site Supervisor. You are expected to flag issues, not solve every judgment call solo.
- Perform Licensed Non-Carpentry Trade Work: While you may assist or work alongside them, you won't be expected to complete specialized electrical wiring, plumbing line tie-ins, or engineering certifications.
- Compromise Safety for Speed: We never expect you to bypass safety protocols or rush a cut to save time. If a setup or tool feels unsafe, you are expected to stop and address it.
- Manage Project Finances: You are responsible for material efficiency at your station, but you are not responsible for client billing, contract negotiations, or overall project budgets.
