Overview

We are looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our client in Barrie. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, and reading technical drawings. Experience working with mild steel is required. CWB certification is considered an asset. All candidates will be required to complete a welding test.

Pay: $26/hr

Shift: 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday

Location Barrie

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform MIG welding on mild steel and other metals according to job specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols.
- Set up welding equipment and ensure proper machine settings.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to company standards.
- Perform basic fabrication tasks, including cutting, grinding, and fitting.




- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Follow all safety regulations and workplace procedures

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a MIG welder, specifically with mild steel (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Robust understanding of welding techniques and metal properties.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- CWB certification GMAW

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 per hour
