We are seeking dedicated Health Care Aides (HCAs) to join our team in the County of Grande Prairie. In this role, you will provide high-quality, personalized care to an individual in the comfort of their own home. Successful candidates must be compassionate, reliable professionals who are committed to enhancing the well-being and quality of life by delivering exceptional care and support tailored to their unique needs.

Responsibilities:

· Provide personalized care and assistance to the individual in their home, following a customized care plan

· Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, assisting the individual safely into, out of, and while in the swimming pool

· Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate medication records

· Monitor the patient's health status, including vital signs, symptoms, and overall well-being

· Collaborate effectively with the care team and family to ensure holistic care

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in the home

· Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the individual’s quality of life

· Provide nutritious meal planning and preparation, associated shopping

· Provide housekeeping

Requirements:





· Proven experience as a Health Care Aide with a strong background in providing in-home care

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating robust interpersonal and communication skills

· Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a focus on dignity and respect for the individual

· Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays

· Physical stamina and emotional resilience to handle the demands of in-home care

· At least 2 professional references

· Personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
