We are currently seeking an experienced B-Pressure Journeyman Welder with strong TIG welding experience on stainless steel pipe. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality pressure welding on stainless steel piping systems while ensuring all work meets applicable safety, quality, and industry standards.

This position is ideal for a skilled welder who is experienced with TIG/GTAW welding, pipe preparation, fit-up, and pressure piping applications.

Shift: Day/Evening shifts available
Pay: $50 /hourly for morning shifts and $52/hourly for afternoon shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform TIG/GTAW welding on stainless steel pipe, including various pipe sizes and wall thicknesses.
- Complete high-quality welds on pressure piping systems in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
- Read and interpret welding procedures, blueprints, isometric drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Perform pipe fit-up, alignment, tacking, and preparation prior to welding.
- Select and properly set up welding equipment, consumables, shielding gas, and welding parameters.
- Perform root, fill, and cap passes as required.
- Maintain proper control of heat input and welding technique to minimize distortion and maintain weld integrity.
- Inspect completed welds and identify defects or irregularities.
- Work with QA/QC personnel to ensure welds meet required specifications and inspection standards.
- Follow WPS/PQR requirements and applicable pressure welding codes and regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete required welding documentation and production records.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.




- Work collaboratively with pipefitters, welders, supervisors, and other trades.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid Alberta B-Pressure Journeyman Welder certification required.
- Journeyman Welder certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal considered an asset.
- Proven experience with TIG/GTAW welding of stainless steel pipe.
- Strong experience with pressure piping and pipe welding.
- Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
- Strong understanding of pipe fit-up, joint preparation, welding positions, and welding parameters.
- Experience working with stainless steel materials and appropriate filler metals.
- Ability to pass required weld tests and/or CWB/pressure welding qualifications, as applicable.
- Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
- Physically capable of working in a fabrication/shop environment and performing welding in various positions.

Preferred Experience

- Experience welding 304/316 stainless steel pipe.
- Experience with high-purity, process, food-processing, chemical, or industrial piping systems.
- Experience working from WPSs and pressure piping specifications.
- Experience with GTAW root welding and purge techniques.
- Previous experience in industrial fabrication or mechanical contracting environments.
