Junior Videographer & Content Producer

Job Summary
The Tawheed Community Centre (TCC) is seeking a Junior Videographer & Content Production Assistant to support the organization's storytelling, fundraising, community engagement, and outreach initiatives through high-quality photo and video content.
TCC also operates Safa & Marwa Islamic School (SAM), and this role will support the visual content needs of both organizations. Responsibilities include capturing and producing photo and video content for community programs, educational initiatives, fundraising campaigns, school activities, special events, and promotional materials.
This is an execution-focused role responsible for capturing, editing, and organizing visual content while working under the direction of the Creative Director. The successful candidate will collaborate with the marketing team to execute approved creative concepts that align with the branding and communication objectives of both TCC and SAM. The successful candidate is also expected to remain up to date with current photography, videography, editing, and social media trends to help ensure content remains engaging, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Videography
- Capture high-quality video footage for community events, fundraising initiatives, sports activities, religious programming, educational programs, classroom activities (where permitted), school events, and special events.
- Follow creative briefs and production plans developed by the Creative Director.
- Ensure all footage meets organizational quality standards.
- Maintain and organize video equipment, files, and media assets.
Photography
- Capture professional photographs for social media, newsletters, fundraising campaigns, promotional materials, websites, school communications, and print publications.
- Edit and deliver photographs according to project requirements and established timelines.
Video Editing
- Edit video content for social media, promotional campaigns, fundraising initiatives, event recaps, school communications, and community outreach.
- Incorporate branding elements, captions, graphics, transitions, music, and motion graphics as directed.
- Revise content based on feedback provided by the Creative Director and leadership team.
Content Management
- Organize and maintain digital photo and video assets using established file management systems.
- Prepare completed content packages for review and approval by the Creative Director.
- Maintain an organized archive of media files to support future marketing and communication initiatives.
- Ensure all media assets are properly labelled, stored, and backed up.
Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the Creative Director, marketing team, school administration, TCC staff, and volunteers.
- Attend planning and production meetings as required.
- Support organizational events and initiatives as a team player and ambassador for both Tawheed Community Centre and Safa & Marwa Islamic School.
- Demonstrate professionalism and maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, students, parents, and community members.
Qualifications
- Experience operating professional or semi-professional video and photography equipment.
- Proficiency with video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent).
- Basic photography editing skills (Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to receive direction, implement feedback, and work collaboratively within a creative team.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content formatting requirements is considered an asset.
- Experience working with schools, community organizations, charities, or non-profit organizations is considered an asset.
Success in this role will be demonstrated by:
- Consistently delivering high-quality photo and video content on schedule.
- Effectively executing the creative vision established by the Creative Director.
- Supporting the fundraising, marketing, educational, outreach, and community engagement initiatives of both TCC and SAM through compelling visual storytelling.
- Demonstrating professionalism, flexibility, accountability, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Maintaining organized media files and efficient production workflows.
- Positively representing Tawheed Community Centre and Safa & Marwa Islamic School during events and community activities.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
