Flex Billing Representative
Location: Oakville, Ontario
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 Months - 1 Year (Potential for extension)
Work Type: Primarily in-person (4 days/week)
Compensation: $23 per hour
Role Overview
The Flex Billing Representative plays a critical role in dealer billing, with a primary responsibility for processing Foreign Merchandise Authorization (FMA) invoices and ensuring timely and accurate billing. The Flex Billing Representative is responsible for ensuring all FMA invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner, while supporting and serving as a resource to various internal and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Process incoming invoices from vendors in a timely manner.
- Process Excel uploads accurately and efficiently.
- Serve as a point of contact for vendors, addressing inquiries and issues.
- Process debit and credit adjustments.
- Maintain effective communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.
- Reconcile vendor statements against company records to identify discrepancies or outstanding issues.
- Resolve billing and Accounts Payable inquiries and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Prepare invoices daily for the third-party scanning facility.
- Review daily exception reports and take action as required.
- Complete weekly balancing of billing operations.
- Follow billing control procedures and obtain supporting evidence as required.
- Support Team Lead and Manager initiatives through special projects and other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of Accounts Payable and/or billing experience.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PeopleSoft.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated team player.
- University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related discipline.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams and build and maintain robust working relationships.
- Bilingual English/French is an asset.
- Ability to work independently.
