Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Tool & Die Maker specializing in new die builds!
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool & Die Maker for NEW DIE BUILDS to build, modify, maintain, try-out and repair precision dies, tooling, and fixtures used in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality tooling and prototypes to exact specifications while maintaining strict standards for accuracy, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
· Build precision dies, tools, and prototypes using conventional and numerically controlled metal-cutting and forming machinery.
· Build, modify, maintain try-out and repair dies, forms, cutting tools, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and other precision tooling used in manufacturing operations.
· Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and tooling requirements.
· Perform machining, fitting, grinding, forming, assembly, and finishing operations to achieve required dimensions and tolerances.
· Conduct work-in-process measuring and inspection using specialized and precision measuring equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools.
· Verify completed tooling for dimensional accuracy, functionality, and conformance to specifications.
· Troubleshoot tooling issues and make required adjustments, modifications, and repairs to improve performance and minimize production downtime.
· Prioritize workload based on press schedules and production requirements to ensure tooling is available when needed.
· Assess the condition and readiness of tooling before removing it from the work centre, identifying potential issues, repairs, or maintenance requirements.
· Collaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve tooling and manufacturing issues.
· Maintain accurate records of tooling modifications, repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities as required.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
· Identify opportunities to improve tooling design, reliability, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
· Completion of a Tool & Die Maker apprenticeship, diploma, or equivalent technical training.
· Minimum of 5 years plus as a Tool & Die Maker in a manufacturing, stamping, or metalworking environment building new dies
· Strong knowledge of die construction, tooling, machining, metal forming, and precision fitting.
· Proficiency with precision measurement and inspection equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
· Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
· Ability to prioritize multiple jobs according to production and press schedules.
· Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
· Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
