About CatchCorner by Sports Illustrated
CatchCorner is a SaaS marketplace and booking platform for sports facilities, often described as the Expedia or Airbnb of athletic space. We work with 2,500 facilities across 25 major metropolitan areas in Canada and the United States, helping gyms, arenas, and community centers fill unused court, field, and ice time through seamless online bookings.
From ice rinks to basketball and volleyball courts, soccer fields, and tennis, pickleball, and padel courts, we connect local communities with the spaces they want to play in. We are growing quickly and adding to the team.
The Role
Once a facility goes live on CatchCorner, they need someone on our side who knows their business, picks up when they call, and is already thinking about how to get them more bookings. That is this role. You are the day-to-day point of contact for our facility partners.
You will work alongside our Client Support Executive and our COO to own the relationship with a portfolio of facilities: knowing their operators by name, understanding how their space runs, keeping their accounts healthy, and stepping in quickly when something goes sideways. When a facility manager has a question, an idea, or a problem, you are the first person they think to reach out to, and the person who makes sure they get an answer. Your week splits across three areas:
Proactive Account Management (2 days per week)
- Review partner accounts for pricing, availability, and listing quality,
and identify what is holding their bookings back
- Reach out to facilities with specific, data-backed recommendations to improve their revenue
- Build relationships with facility managers and operators so they treat you as their first call
- Track account health and flag partners who are at risk before they churn
Issue Resolution and Support (2 days per week)
- Own partner issues end to end, from booking disputes and schedule conflicts to payment questions and platform problems
- Coordinate with product, operations, and account management to close the loop, and confirm the fix landed with the partner
- Document recurring problems so we fix the pattern and not just the ticket
Executive and Operations Support (1 day per week)
- Support the COO on partner projects, reporting, and initiatives that need someone to run them down
- Prepare account summaries and follow-up notes ahead of partner and leadership meetings
- Keep calendars, follow-ups, and partner communications on track across teams
To be clear, this is not a ticket queue. Issues will land on your desk and you will need to handle them well, but a real part of the job is picking up the phone before anything is wrong, and knowing which partners are worth calling this week and what to say when they answer. You will usually have several things open at once, each with a facility waiting on you, and the problems that come up rarely have a script.
Staying organized while you juggle them is most of the job. We are looking for judgment more than process.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of experience in account management, client success, partnerships, support, or a similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and comfort picking up the phone with a partner who is frustrated
- Strategic about outreach: you think about who to contact, why now, and what you want out of the conversation
- Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities, since the day rarely goes to plan
- Highly organized and detail oriented, especially with follow-ups and data entry
- Self-motivated, able to work independently while collaborating with a small team
- Passion for sports, community recreation, and technology is a plus
Prior account management experience is an asset but not a requirement. We value coachability, consistency, and communication skills above all.
What We Offer
- $50,000 to $60,000 CAD base salary depending on experience
- Hybrid schedule with Mondays and Fridays remote
- Direct exposure to leadership, working day to day with our Client Support Executive and COO
- Explicit room for growth as the company expands across North America
Before You Apply
Do your homework. Candidates who arrive at an interview without a working understanding of CatchCorner, what we do, and who we serve will not move forward in the process. Spend ten minutes on our platform, look at how a few facilities have set up their listings, and come with questions. This is the same preparation we expect you to bring to every partner conversation.
