We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our upcoming projects. We specialize in excavation, sewer and water main construction and related underground infrastructure. You will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with project teams to ensure competitive pricing and profitability. Your expertise will help shape the foundation of our construction initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare precise cost proposals
- Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing
- Review project scopes to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities early in the planning process
- Maintain detailed records of estimates,
assumptions, and bid documentation for future reference
- Assist in project management tasks by tracking costs and supporting budget control throughout project execution
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes and terminology
- Proficiency with Bluebeam software for digital plan review and markup
- Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating platforms is highly desirable
- Solid skills in negotiation to secure favorable pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of construction pricing strategies, labor rates, material costs, and market trends
- Validated construction experience that provides practical insight into project execution and cost factors
