Front Cashier/Server

Part time:

$17.60/hour for applicants 18 and over

16.60/hour for students under 18

Availability Required: Tuesday to Friday 5 pm to 10pm. Saturday and

Sunday 11 am to 10 pm (no exceptions)

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Toast
- Memorize menu items to increase confidence and knowledge when providing advice to customers on recommendations
- Process payments efficiently, handling cash, and credit cards with precision and integrity




- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining area, washrooms, and cashier zones
- Washing and sanitation of dishes
- Assist in food preparation or serving as needed to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly while maintaining high service quality

Requirements

- Prior food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems for cashiering tasks
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to create positive guest interactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple tables and responsibilities efficiently
- Previous restaurant experience is advantageous; experience in the food industry or serving roles is a plus
- Capable of standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced workplace
