About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Accountant to own our month-end close and full-cycle accounting operations. This is a hybrid role with flexibility on in-office days - you'll have autonomy to structure your week around what works best for the team and the business.
As a small, growing company, you'll get genuine exposure to all aspects of our financial operations: GL management, reconciliations, accruals, reporting, and board-level support.
You'll work closely with our leadership team to support fundraising and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close process and financial statement preparation
- Manage general ledger, account reconciliations, and accrual entries
- Process payroll and coordinate with HR on compensation matters
- Assist in the preparation of management, investor, and board reporting
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for growth
- Build and document accounting procedures as we scale
- Collaborate with external auditors and advisors
What We're Looking For
- Solid technical accounting skills with month-end close experience
- CPA designation or working toward it
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a lean environment
- Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to wear multiple hats
- Interest in scaling with the company (this role has real growth potential)
