Job Description/Purpose: A Shipping and Receiving Associate is vital to the success of our team, as our products flow through the warehouse. The Shipping and Receiving Associate receives, stores, and distributes materials and products within the establishment. We are looking for an experienced shipper / receiver that is forklift certified.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs daily forklift safety check, reporting and/or correcting safety issues as necessary.
- Safely and effectively drives forklift, and other equipment as needed.
- Reconciles inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Manages truck schedules/routes
- Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Receiving material
- Utilizes scanner system
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing and shipping area.
- Uses computer to enter records.
- Prepares all pallets and parcels for mailing and shipping.
- Advise management and sales team of any damages / changes to an order
