Overview:
We are seeking a female skilled and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This position requires strong administrative skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and experience working in a medical office setting. If you are detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, high tech communication modules clinic, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using electronic medical records system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
- Assist healthcare providers with various clinical administrative tasks as needed
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
Requirements:
- Proficient in using electronic JUNO / OSCAR EMR IS A MUST
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines / Text chats.
