Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. This role requires a skilled with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient care. Knowledge of Dentrix, Orthodontics, and Pediatric dentistry is a plus. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve our diverse patient community. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing procedures to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
- Assist in identifying oral health issues and communicate findings to the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or other dental management software
- Support the dental team during procedures and patient examinations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
- Assist with sterilization of instruments and maintaining a clean, organized treatment area
- Stay updated on the latest dental practices, medical terminology, and industry standards
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist
- Experience with Abeldent or similar dental office management software preferred
- Knowledge of Orthodontics, Pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures beneficial
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work well within a team environment and support collaborative patient care efforts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
