We are looking for a Registered Practical Nurse!

TEMPORARY PART-TIME HOURS FOR 3 MONTHS - CASUAL AFTERWARDS

Primarily Day shifts: 7am-7pm

Able to pick up occasional Night shifts if available

Mission Of The Role

Your mission is to provide safe, patient-centered care with a focus on excellence. You prioritize meeting the needs of our client and supporting him with his Activities of Daily Living. You are expected as part of our team to be flexible and willing to accept schedule changes based on the client’s schedule. You are expected to perform your duties as a nurse with the emphasis of blending into the client’s environment.

As an RPN, your daily responsibilities will impact the following ways:

- Providing nursing care within the scope of the RPN practice
- Using sound nursing principles to ensure excellent care is delivered to the client
- Drive client to the work or personal event functions using clients vehicle
- Using knowledge of Proper Body Mechanics to assist client after falls.
- Administering medications vial oral and IM
- Creating a safe and comfortable workplace that respects residents’ privacy, dignity, autonomy, independence and personal values and lifestyle




- Participating in care planning and support residents to meet their goals by adhering to their care plan
- Exercising sound judgement and not shy away from engaging other nurses for support
- Collaborating with all stakeholders to foster an atmosphere conducive to optimal care. This includes the client, family members, multidisciplinary team members, unregulated health care providers etc.
- Assist with morning ADL's
- Attend health related appointments
- Communicate with Nursing Care Team of daily reporting

What You Have

- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the province of Ontario
- Current First Aid with CPR
- G2 driver's license, personal vehicle asset.
- Valid Passport
- The ability to lift 220 lbs
- Previous experience with geriatric population preferred; knowledge of Parkinson’s an asset
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
