Cross Country Canada Supplies and Rentals is growing and has an exciting opportunity for a dual role NDE Technician AND Health & Safety Administrator at our Spruce Grove location. This is a fast-paced role by supporting the Health & Safety Management System and NDE under the direction of the Director of Safety/QC. If you have NDE and/or Health & Safety experience and are looking to further your experience with a dynamic team this may be the opportunity for you.
Duties and responsibilities
- Safety Orientations with new employees (in-person and virtually)
- Scheduling & updating safety committee meetings
- Arranging safety training for new and existing employees
- Track, update and prepare various department monthly reports
- Admin support for WCB tracking
- Assist in the preparation of weekly H&S; meeting topics
- Perform monthly inspections (shop and yard)
- Support for all Health & Safety matters including claims management, training, injury reporting, Health & Safety Committee meetings, safety initiatives, etc.
- Record keeping (data entry & electronic filing) of Safety, NDE & jobsite paperwork
- Maintain up-to-date safety & NDE records (certifications, reports, task competencies, SDSs, training matrix)
- Perform MT, VT accurate inspections in various locations on various types of equipment.
- Support administrative functions for COR/SECOR Audit
- Assist in policy development and review, in incident investigations & follow up actions
- Track, update, and ensure timely updates to ISNetworld, and Complyworks vendor registry systems
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of NDE or Safety experience is preferred
- Must possess or be working towards either HSA Designation or have hands-on experience in Non-Destructive Testing procedures and methods
- Incident investigation training/experience is an asset
- Experience with COR/SECOR audit is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 products
- Able to quickly learn new software programs
- Robust time management skills
- Basic technical knowledge with proficiency in the use and maintenance of NDE equipment
- Understanding of safety standards and guidelines in industrial environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for working effectively with team members and in-field with clients
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Current certifications in applicable NDE techniques (e.g., MT, VT or other relevant methods) are an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required
Working conditions
- Physical ability to work outdoors, indoors and in industrial environments
- Travel to other locations will be required
- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, 1 hour lunch
- Subject to deadlines or other requirements, overtime may be required
Physical requirements
- Physical requirements necessary include sitting, standing, climbing and walking throughout an 8-hour+ workday
- Must be able to occasionally lift or exert force of up to 40 pounds

Experience:
