Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our rehab team. This role involves supporting physical therapists, occupational therapist , speech therapist and other healthcare professionals in delivering patient-centered rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in patient care, with experience or knowledge in community care and pediatrics, and familiarity with medical terminology. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed therapists with implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Support patients during therapy sessions by providing encouragement and ensuring safety.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to supervising clinicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and therapy activities.
- Help with patient mobility, transfers,
and exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times.
Skills
- Knowledge of acute care settings and pediatric patient needs is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology to accurately document and communicate patient information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively support patients of diverse backgrounds.
