Saskatoon Soccer Centre Inc. (SSCI) is a non-profit organization that owns and operates two sports facilities in Saskatoon: the Saskatoon Sports Centre and the Saskatoon Kinsmen/Henk Ruys Soccer Centre. Our facilities support soccer and a variety of other sports, tournaments, rentals, special events, and community activities throughout the year.
SSCI is seeking reliable, friendly, and motivated individuals to join our Service Team.
Position Summary
Service Team Members play an important front-line role in providing professional customer service and supporting the safe, clean, organized, and efficient operation of SSCI facilities.
Working closely with the Service Team Manager and other SSCI staff, Service Team Members support daily facility operations, including games, practices, tournaments, rentals, special events, and other activities.
This is an active, customer-facing position requiring employees to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and respectful customer service to players, coaches, officials, spectators, members, renters, and other facility users.
- Assist customers at the front desk and respond to general questions regarding facility activities, schedules, rentals, and services.
- Prepare fields and facility areas for scheduled games, practices, tournaments, rentals, and special events.
- Complete field setup and tear-down as required.
- Complete regular facility walkthroughs and assigned cleaning duties.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dressing rooms, washrooms, common areas, spectator areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Monitor facility activities and promptly report safety concerns, damage, maintenance issues, hazards, or unusual incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with facility opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Process customer payments and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions as assigned.
- Ensure equipment, supplies, and facility areas are properly organized and prepared for use.
- Follow daily task sheets, schedules,
operational procedures, and management direction.
- Communicate booking, customer service, or facility concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
- Work cooperatively with Service Team members, management, and other SSCI departments.
- Uphold SSCI policies, procedures, facility rules, and service standards.
- Perform other duties as required to support the secure and efficient operation of the facilities.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Ability to work at either SSCI facility as business demands.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, particularly evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
The following are considered assets:
- Previous customer service, hospitality, recreation, sports, or facility experience.
- Knowledge of soccer or other sports.
- Experience handling cash or processing customer transactions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.

Physical Requirements
This is an active position requiring regular standing and walking throughout the facility. Duties may include:
- Setting up and tearing down fields and facility areas.
- Cleaning and maintaining assigned areas.
- Lifting and moving facility-related equipment and supplies.
- Lifting items weighing up to approximately 30 lbs.
- Pushing equipment weighing up to approximately 100 lbs.
Work Environment and Schedule
Service Team Members work in a busy sports and recreation environment with regular interaction with the public.
Employees must be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events.
Employees may be scheduled to work at either the Saskatoon Sports Centre or Saskatoon Kinsmen/Henk Ruys Soccer Centre, depending on operational requirements.

Wages/Hours
- Wage TBA. Increases at 500, 1000, and 2000 hours worked. Certain shifts qualify for a shift premium at an elevated wage.
- Part time: Approximately 8–20 hours / week with possibility of more.
