We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to support our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care and efficient clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience working in medical office fast-paced environment. Duties include performing ECG'S, telephone reception for booking echocardiograms, creating calendar to schedule our sonographers, faxing out test results. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills written and speaking, proficiency with electronic health record systems (Health Quest). Enjoy working with people is a must.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using electronic scheduling systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs) in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist with insurance verification,
billing procedures, and collection of patient payments.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and office supplies inventory.
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems, Health Quest.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a quick-paced environment.
