Position Summary

The Workshop Planner / Membership Growth Intern provides hands-on training and implementation support to small and medium-sized businesses across the Highway 11 Corridor. This position helps local businesses adopt modern technologies and best practices in digital marketing, artificial intelligence, business development, and customer service to boost productivity, employee retention, and competitiveness. The coordinator will work directly with regional businesses while developing and delivering a Chamber Certified Business Excellence Training Program.

Primary Responsibilities

- Digital Marketing Support: Assist businesses with social media management, Facebook Business Pages, Google Business Profiles, website updates, and online advertising campaigns.
- AI Training: Introduce businesses to AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot), deliver introductory workshops, support practical tool implementation, and create resource guides.
- Business Development Services: Conduct business needs assessments, provide one-on-one coaching, support digital transformation projects, and assist with member retention and engagement.
- Chamber Certified Program Delivery: Develop, deliver,



and evaluate a structured business training curriculum; coordinate participant registration, maintain training records, and oversee certification requirements.
- Administrative Duties: Prepare training presentations, track program metrics and reporting, schedule workshops, handle participant communications, and support Chamber events.

- Project management, program evaluation, and event coordination

Supervision & Mentorship

The intern reports directly to the Executive Director of the Northern Corridor Chamber of Commerce, receiving continuous mentorship from the Board of Directors and regional business leaders. Formal performance evaluations occur every three months to support professional development

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
