432 Health Group is looking for a committed and experienced pharmacist to take on the role of a part time staff pharmacist at The Prescription Shop in the heart of the city of Winnipeg.
The incumbent will work closely with the management team and pharmacy manager to ensure standard operating procedures, policies and applicable laws and regulations are followed. The pharmacist will provide support and aid in ensuring the pharmacy is meeting the health needs of our patients. We are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional individual who is actively contributing to a positive and productive work environment to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Dispensing medications
- Filling, preparing, checking, and dispensing patient prescriptions
- Administration of vaccines and other injectable medication
- Providing full scope of practice for patient care including medication reviews
- Working collaboratively with patients’ physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes
- Conducting immunization clinics
- Engaging in community outreach programs,
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy and front store
- Pharmacy inventory maintenance
- Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines and other drugs and pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to work weekends/holidays on a rotation as required
- Narcotic and controlled drug accountability and maintenance
- All other duties and responsibilities of a staff pharmacist in a community pharmacy setting as set out by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba.
Qualifications:
- Licensed and in valuable standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
- Certificate of Injection Administration
- OAT training and experience with OAT
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Superior patient and physician relation skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent leadership and performance management skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google (preferred)
- Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software (preferred)
