Responsibilities
- Supervise daily sanitation activities across all production areas, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, floors, and surfaces.
- Develop and implement comprehensive cleaning schedules aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Train and motivate sanitation staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and use of cleaning chemicals.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify cleanliness standards are met, documenting findings and addressing any deficiencies promptly.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule sanitation activities that minimize downtime while maximizing cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and inspection reports for compliance audits.
- Enforce safety protocols related to chemical handling,
equipment operation, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- Food Plant Sanitation experience, preferably within a protein processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and safety regulations applicable to food plants.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise sanitation staff effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all areas meet strict hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain organized documentation of sanitation activities.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments and report on sanitation status.
