Duties
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on equipment such as lawn care equipment, pleasure craft, and powersports vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct accurate repair procedures, assembly, and disassembly of components to facilitate repairs or upgrades
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to complete maintenance tasks efficiently
- Heavy lifting of parts and equipment using appropriate lifting devices while adhering to safety protocols (overhead cranes)
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance and operational readiness
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a dealership or shop environment with a focus on lawn care and/or marine
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various equipment types
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, electrical systems, engine systems schematics interpretation, and component assembly
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or other machinery safely and effectively
- Familiarity with repair techniques and diagnostic tools is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when needed
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards
