Reports to: Yard Foreman

Summary

We are looking for a responsible Class G Driver with a clean driving record to operate a

Job Duties

- Operates vehicle in accordance with Avenue Building Corporation rules and regulations, the Occupational and Safety Health Act, and all statutory requirements.
- Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.).
- Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service related issues to the Yard Foreman
- Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by the Company.
- Works closely with the Yard Foreman to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
- Notifies Yard Foreman of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage.
- Notifies Yard Foreman of potential safety hazards.
- Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation and the check out process.




- Performs all duties as scheduled by the Yard Foreman
- When not driving assists with stripping forms, housekeeping and general labourer duties at our yard facility.

Job Requirements

- High School education or equivalent
- G License
- Good driving record

Position Rate

$25 an hour to start during the 3 month probationary period, based on performance an increase will be evaluated

Schedule:

- 8-10 hour shifts 5:30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay after 44 hours
