Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will bring expertise in various aspects of carpentry and construction to deliver high-quality craftsmanship on diverse projects. Your ability to work with a variety of tools, and execute exact measurements will be essential to ensure the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your craftsmanship skills. We handle a wide variety of residential construction and renovation projects throughout Grey & Bruce County. We are looking for someone who is experienced, versatile and takes pride in doing things properly

Duties

- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately plan and execute carpentry tasks
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as framing, cabinetry, drywall, siding, roofing, and flooring
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, tile, and other fixtures with precision
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete various construction tasks
- Conduct restoration work including drywall repair, caulking, painting, and siding replacement
- Assist with plumbing and electrical rough-ins when necessary for integrated project completion




- Measure materials accurately for construction estimating purposes and manage material inventory
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols

Requirements

- Proven strong experience in carpentry or related construction fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, & masonry equipment.
- Knowledge of framing, roofing systems, siding installation, flooring installation, tile laying, drywall install & finishing, and general carpentry
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy lifting, scaffolding, and general construction site safety
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality standards
- Professional and respectful around clients and their homes
- Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation
- Basic hand tools required; additional tools are an asset
- Reliable and punctual - consistent attendance is a must.
