Western Kia is looking for a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to join our Service Department.

As a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician, you’ll diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles while helping ensure every job is completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Diagnosing vehicle concerns and complete required maintenance and repairs.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Use OEM diagnostic equipment, service information, and dealership systems throughout the repair process.
- Identify additional maintenance or repair requirements and clearly document recommendations.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor and Service Manager regarding vehicle condition, repair requirements, and work in progress.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Follow dealership health and safety procedures, including WHMIS requirements and the proper handling and disposal of fluids and chemicals.
- Maintain your required technician tools and equipment in safe, good working condition.
- Provide guidance and support to Apprentice Technicians and other junior members of the Service team.
- Contribute to a positive, productive, and team-oriented shop environment.

What You Bring:

- A valid Automotive Service Technician Journeyperson Certificate.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to share your knowledge and support the development of Apprentice Technicians.
