Job Summary
CAN-ENG Furnaces International, Ltd. Is a vibrant, medium-size Canadian company located in Niagara Falls, Ontario with an international reputation for excellence in the design and manufacture of thermal processing equipment and associated ancillary equipment to high profile multinational companies around the world.
We are seeking a energetic and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our unionized manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and in some cases assembly of a variety of Carbon and Stainless steel components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality products and structures, ensuring safety, durability, and adherence to project specifications. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and fabrication requirements.
- Perform MIG , Stick and TIG welding as required.
- Weld Carbon Steel, Stainless steel (304,310,316,330 etc), and Cast Stainless steel (HN,HU,22H, INCONEL, Etc.)
- Perform Straightening of Fabrications brought in from outside vendors as required.
- Use Saw, plasma cutting equipment, Drill press, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to cut, bend, shape, and assemble fabrications.
- Operate rigging equipment and cranes safely for lifting heavy materials during fabrication or assembly processes.
- Apply math skills for accurate fabrication, pipe coping,
shrinkage allowances.
- Fabricate ductwork, piping to TSSA, structural components, and custom assemblies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; inspect finished work for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with team members on tasks and troubleshoot fabrication issues as they arise.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (SMAW, MIG and TIG)
- Fabrication (Fitting and Welding) within manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and adhere to engineering drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, torches, press brake machines, calipers, and other fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, crane operation and following safety procedures is required.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material optimization / estimations.
- Self Starter - high work ethic, team player. Willing to perform other tasks outside of welding a benefit.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus but not required; training can be provided if necessary.

Pay: $34.43-$42.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
