Duties

- Prepare and assemble deli items such as sliced meats, cheeses, salads, and specialty foods with precision and attention to quality standards
- Making sandwiches
- Serve customers efficiently at the deli counter, providing friendly assistance and product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in accordance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory levels by restocking display cases and ensuring product freshness throughout your shift
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, packaging, and labeling products while adhering to proper food handling procedures




- Upsell products by suggesting complementary items or specials to maximize sales opportunities
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety to ensure a secure environment for staff and customers

Experience

- Prior experience in food service or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly
- Robust time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling, measuring ingredients, and managing inventory counts
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
