Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will manage the efficient movement of goods, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes. Your proactive approach will support our commitment to timely order fulfillment, safe warehouse operations, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols
- Prepare outgoing shipments with proper packaging, labeling, and documentation to ensure safe delivery
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment to facilitate efficient operations and safety compliance
- Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and reporting using basic math skills for data accuracy
Requirements
- Proven experience in shipping & receiving within a warehouse or distribution environment
- Valid forklift certification; experience operating reach trucks preferred
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, packing, loading & unloading
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory management and order processing
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards in handling materials and equipment
- Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and stand for extended periods throughout shifts
