We are seeking a dedicated Class 5 Driver to join our clients team in Ottawa, ON. The Driver is responsible for collecting IT assets in accordance with best practices set forth by the organization. As a customer facing role representing the brand, professional and protected driving, and courteous interactions with customers and site contacts are of the utmost importance. The Driver would also serve as an ambassador and would deal with customers professionally and courteously.

Pay: $26/day

Day Shift: 7am-3:30 pm

Your role as Driver:

Drive primarily straight trucks or assigned vehicles to transport and collect IT assets on

local routes in compliance with governing legislations and company policies.

- Transport materials to and from customers as assigned and provide proper paperwork in a courteous and timely manner.
- Complete daily circle checks on the vehicle and review regular maintenance requirements before departure.
- Review routes and load appropriate quantities of packaging supplies, tools and PPE prior to departure.
- Obey all traffic laws and adhere to safe, professional driving practices in compliance with provincial law and company driver policy.
- Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes, in order to document weights and to comply with applicable regulations
- Update pickup status in real time in Detrack and complete all relevant end-of-day paperwork, scanning files, and photos Record and maintain required documentation including logbook, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, and post trip), maintenance and repair reports,



accident or incident reports and bills of lading in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Report accidents, incidents, or site concerns to the immediate supervisor; escalate to Senior Manager as necessary.
- Offload trucks safely, obey space allocations in the receiving area, and park trucks in designated doors at end of day.
- Request proper documentation from customers.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Customer, Supplier and Company information
- Participate in all required company training and regularly update knowledge of safe driving practices through defensive driving courses or workshops.
- Follow all data security measures, procedures, and chain-of-custody requirements for IT asset handling.
- Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned.

Your education, experience and skills:

- Minimum post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 2 years (minimum) of experience in similar position, preferred 3 -5 years’ experience in similar position with prior experience in Tailgate Operation, Straight/Dump truck and Hydraulic Lift.
- Electric Pump Truck Training (required); Air Brakes Course an asset
- Valid Ontario Class G Drivers License
- Clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of city streets, highways, and local traffic laws.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities
