Job Title: General Manager – Cycle Works Red Deer

Location: Red Deer Alberta

Job Type: Full-Time Tuesday- Saturday

About Us: Cycle Works Red Deer is a leading power sports dealership dedicated to providing top-quality vehicles and exceptional customer service. We specialize in [motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles and personal watercraft] and offer a wide range of products from renowned brands. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team, drive operational excellence, and ensure the continued growth and success of our dealership.

Position Overview: The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, inventory management, and customer satisfaction. The GM will ensure the dealership meets or exceeds financial goals, operational standards, and customer service expectations. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a passion for power sports.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and motivate the dealership’s staff, including department managers and team members in sales, service, parts, Finance and administration.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage professional development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set individual and team goals, and ensure continuous training.
- Sales & Marketing:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for new and used vehicles, parts, accessories, and service.
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing and promotional initiatives to increase dealership visibility and customer engagement.
- Monitor sales performance, customer trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Operations Management:




- Oversee day-to-day operations of the dealership, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments.
- Maintain inventory levels and manage ordering, receiving, and stocking to ensure product availability and minimize overstocking.
- Ensure the dealership adheres to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Customer Experience:
- Uphold a high standard of customer service and ensure the dealership consistently delivers a positive and seamless customer experience from sales through to after-sales support.
- Handle escalated customer issues and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Monitor customer feedback and reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Financial Management:
- Manage the dealership’s financial performance, including profit and loss (P&L;) statements, budgets, and expenses.
- Analyze financial data and create action plans to improve profitability.
- Develop and implement effective cost-control measures to maximize revenue while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure the dealership complies with all local regulations related to power sports vehicles, sales, finance and service.
- Oversee safety standards for both employees and customers, ensuring a safe workplace within the dealership.
- Manage warranty and service contracts, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to manufacturer guidelines.
- Vendor Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with OEM manufacturers, suppliers,



and service providers to ensure a reliable and consistent supply of products and services.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to maximize profitability.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience: Preferred 5 years of experience in dealership management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within the power sports or automotive industry.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales and meet financial goals.
- Strong understanding of dealership operations, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of power sports vehicles and aftermarket parts (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management software (e.g., CDK, Dealertrack).

Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
