About AWBY Tutoring

AWBY Tutoring is a growing tutoring service based in Greater Vancouver, providing personalized one-on-one support to K–12 students. We are looking for friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable tutors to join our growing team.

This is a flexible part-time position. Tutors are matched with students based on their subject expertise, location, availability, and preferred grade levels.

What You’ll Do

- Provide one-on-one tutoring to K–12 students
- Support students in Math, Science, English, and/or other subjects based on your expertise
- Explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to each student’s learning needs
- Help students with homework, test preparation, skill development, and confidence
- Communicate professionally and be reliable for scheduled sessions
- Provide brief updates on student progress when needed

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome university students, recent graduates, teachers, and experienced tutors. You do not need to teach every subject or grade level.

We are especially interested in tutors who can teach one or more of the following:

- Elementary and middle-school Math, Science, or English
- Grade 8–10 Math and Science
- Pre-Calculus 11 & 12
- Senior high-school Math and Science

Qualifications

- Currently attending or graduated from a university or college program
- Strong knowledge of the subject(s) you wish to tutor
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring,



or experience working with students is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and professional
- Familiarity with the BC curriculum is an asset

Location & Schedule

Sessions may be online or in person throughout Greater Vancouver. In-person sessions may take place at public libraries or other mutually agreed-upon locations.

Tutors can indicate which areas they are willing to travel to and which students fit their availability. Hours vary depending on student demand and tutor availability, and a minimum number of weekly hours is not guaranteed.

Pay: CA$23–$30 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, grade level, and subject.
