We’re looking for a technician to join our team. This is a full-time field position to start, with the possibility of growing into a hybrid field/office role over time for the right person. We’re ideally looking for someone with a Geomatics education background. Hands-on experience is a bonus, but if you’ve got the education, the attitude, and a willingness to learn, we’re willing to train the rest.
What You’ll Do
- Collect field data using total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, metal detectors, and the humble shovel.
- Assist with boundary, topographic, and construction surveys under the direction of a BC Land Surveyor (BCLS)
- Keep accurate field notes and measurements
- Represent the company professionally when working alongside clients and contractors on-site
What We’re Looking For
- A diploma or degree in Geomatics, Survey Technology,
or a related field
- Field experience in surveying is preferred but not a deal breaker if you’re the right fit
- Familiarity with survey instruments is a plus
- Valid BC driver’s licence with a clean abstract
- Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather and terrain
- Good attention to detail, reliable, and eager to learn
