Terminal Forest Products Ltd. (TFP) is a medium-sized, privately owned forest products company with operations on the southwest coast of British Columbia and northwest Washington State. The company owns and operates two sawmills, a remanufacturing plant as well as a dryland log sorting operation. It specializes in manufacturing a wide variety of finished Western Red Cedar lumber products destined for domestic and international markets, and also offers log custom cutting and log custom sorting services at company-owned facilities.

Job Summary

Terminal Forest Products is looking for a skilled grader who has a good understanding of lumber grading. The grader will be responsible for grading incoming lumber according to our specifications and performing other duties as required.

Duties Include:

· Organize and grade incoming lumber.

· Communicate with employees and supervisor regarding any concerns with lumber quality, mechanical issues, and safety concerns.

· Ensure work is done in the utmost safest manner.

· May perform other duties as required by management.

Position Requirements Include:

· Must possess NLGA grading ticket.





· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in grading western redwood cedar lumber, hemlock, and Douglas fir.

· Clear understanding of grading requirements for specific species.

· Ability to work morning, afternoon, and occasional weekend shifts.
