Metal Fabricator / Press Brake & Laser OperatorJob Summary
We are a growing metal fabrication business looking for a dependable, motivated person who wants to become an important part of our operation.
This is not a position for someone who simply wants to clock in and do the minimum. We need someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to details, stays organized, and is willing to learn and grow with the business. The right person will help with fabrication throughout the shop and, depending on experience, operate our press brake and laser equipment.
Our ideal candidate is mechanically capable, comfortable working independently, and willing to take ownership of jobs from start to finish. Experience in every area listed below is preferred but not required. We are willing to train a serious candidate who has strong fabrication fundamentals, a valuable attitude, and the ability to learn.
Primary Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to drawings, measurements, and job requirements
- Measure, cut, fit, and prepare material accurately
- Operate or learn to operate a CNC press brake
- Operate or learn to operate laser-cutting equipment
- Read shop drawings, prints, and basic dimensions
- Inspect completed parts for accuracy and quality
- Organize materials, parts, drawings, and active jobs
- Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and ready for use
- Help troubleshoot fabrication and production issues
- Communicate clearly about job status, material needs, and potential problems
- Assist wherever needed to keep shop work moving efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous metal fabrication or manufacturing experience
- Experience operating a press brake or CNC laser
- Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
- Strong measuring, layout, and basic math skills
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Welding experience
- Forklift experience
- Basic computer skills
- CAD, drafting, or CNC programming experience is a plus
- Ability to create or modify simple part drawings is a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work in a shop environment for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift and move 50lb+ materials/tools/equipment commonly used in metal fabrication
- Ability to use hand tools, measuring equipment, and fabrication machinery
- Ability to follow all required safety procedures
Position Details

- Pay: $28–38/hr based on experience
