Advance Paper Box Ltd is seeking an Industrial Mechanic/ Millwright to join our team, who will be responsible for providing mechanical maintenance support on a variety of production equipment and building systems to support day-to-day operations of the plant. This includes performing preventative maintenance tasks, diagnostic and troubleshooting services, responding to emergency breakdowns and completing accurate work order data entry/documentation.

Job Location: Onsite, Mon to Fri- 8 am to 4:30 pm

Responsibilities:

- Ensure proper performance and operation of machinery and mechanical equipment for production.
- Minimize production downtime by completing preventive maintenance inspections, planned work orders and, responding to breakdowns and emergency repairs in an expedited and efficient manner.
- Carry out all work in a secure and professional manner, complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure high standards of workmanship quality are delivered to prevent manufacturing equipment breakdowns.
- Complete accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance performed; collect, analyze and summarize information on work orders and work requisitions.
- Interpret blueprints and plans, attend meetings, and complete requisitions for parts and supplies.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors and generators, according to layout plans using hand and power tools, and measuring devices.
- Analyze equipment downtime, determine root cause, and recommend countermeasures.
- Maintain and operate machine shop equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and cutting tools.




- Work closely with production to resolve equipment issues/Panel Repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work and follow company regulations for Quality certification.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required.
- Millwright/Industrial Mechanic Red Seal Certification required.
- 2+ years' experience working in a Maintenance shop as Red Seal Journeyman. Experience in the printing and packaging industry is considered an asset.
- Skilled in the operation of lathes and milling machines.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to perform project work as needed for new installations and customizations of existing equipment to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Self-starter with the capacity to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities.
