Are you dependable, comfortable working with your hands, and
interested in technology?
OT Group is looking for someone with a strong work ethic, good customer
instincts, and a willingness to learn. You will deliver and install office equipment
while gaining hands-on experience alongside our Service Technicians.
The position begins with delivery and installation, with opportunities to
build the skills needed to progress toward a Copier Service Technician role.
What you'll do
- Deliver a professional customer experience. Safely deliver, unload, position, install, and test copiers, printers, and related equipment, then introduce customers to the basic functions.
- Complete equipment setup. With training and support, connect equipment to customer networks, configure basic settings, install print drivers, complete documentation, and identify anything requiring follow-up.
- Keep customers and technicians supplied. Deliver toner, supplies, replacement parts, and equipment while transporting inventory between OT Group locations.
- Manage your routes and equipment. Complete scheduled routes safely and efficiently while keeping your vehicle, tools, supplies, and inventory clean, organized, and secure. Complete routine vehicle inspections and report mechanical, tire, or safety concerns.
- Support the technical and operations teams. Assist with larger installations, preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment preparation, testing, configuration, receiving, warehouse organization, and inventory counts.
What you'll bring
- A valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a clean driving record and a valid Canadian passport.
- Robust communication and customer service skills,
with the ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
- The ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and material-handling equipment and to lift, move, and position office equipment using proper techniques.
- The ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and work indoors or outdoors in varying conditions.
- A willingness to learn new technology and accept coaching.
Mechanical aptitude, experience with hand or power tools, basic computer or networking knowledge, or previous experience in delivery, warehousing, moving, installation, or customer service would be helpful, but is not required.
