We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Process and Tooling Supervisor to lead our tooling operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement of our tooling processes. You will oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing tools, collaborating closely with production teams to enhance process performance and uphold high standards of quality control. Your expertise will drive innovation in tooling solutions, support supply chain integration, and foster a culture of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Duties
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of process tooling to support manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with production requirements and quality standards
- Supervise the tooling team, providing guidance on daily activities, troubleshooting issues, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to develop efficient tooling solutions that optimize assembly processes and reduce waste
- Manage tooling maintenance schedules, perform inspections, and coordinate repairs or upgrades to minimize downtime
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP to track tooling inventory, manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and ensure timely procurement of tooling components
- Drive process improvement initiatives by analyzing tooling performance data, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and supporting continuous improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards by monitoring tooling accuracy and consistency throughout production cycles
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with strong mechanical knowledge of tooling systems and equipment
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms for inventory management and process tracking
- Knowledge of supply chain processes related to tooling procurement and inventory control
- Experience with process improvement methodologies including lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
- Strong understanding of MRP systems to plan and manage tooling needs effectively
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering collaboration across departments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality control and assembly processes
