Overview

Experianced Dental Assistant – Part Time

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Duties

- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
- Type accurate and detailed clinical notes for the dentist following treatments and procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use.
- Take patient medical histories and record vital signs accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Cleardent and Open Dental
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.




- Support orthodontic procedures when required and assist in pediatric dentistry tasks.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and office efficiency.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with orthodontics is a plus.
- Proficient in medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience with dental software systems such as Cleardent and Open Dental is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients of all ages, including children in pediatric settings.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is an advantage but not mandatory.

Job Types: Permanent, Part time
