DENTAL ASSISTANT (LEVEL II / NDAEB) – FUTURE/ANTICIPATED GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES – ONTARIO

Overview

Dr. M. Ahmad Dentistry Professional Corporation is developing a province-wide roster of qualified Dental Assistants for future and anticipated government institutional dental service opportunities throughout Ontario.

These are future/anticipated opportunities and are not guaranteed immediate positions. Assignments may become available as government clients issue future Statements of Work (SOWs) or other service requirements. Location, schedule, duration and availability will depend upon each individual assignment.

Potential Locations

Opportunities may arise throughout Ontario, including the GTA, Central Ontario, Niagara/Hamilton, Southwestern Ontario, Eastern Ontario and Northern Ontario. Wherever possible, candidates will be considered for assignments reasonably close to their preferred geographic area.

Responsibilities

* Chairside assisting during examinations, restorative procedures, extractions and emergency dental treatment.

* Prepare dental treatment rooms, instruments, materials and supplies.

* Follow current infection prevention and control (IPAC) procedures.

* Sterilize and process dental instruments according to applicable standards.





* Assist with dental radiographs where authorized and appropriately certified.

* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support effective operation of the institutional dental clinic.

Qualifications

* Level II Dental Assistant / NDAEB certification preferred.

* HARP qualification/certification where required for radiography.

* Current IPAC knowledge/training.

* Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

* Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively in an institutional setting.

* Successful candidates must be willing and eligible to complete any security screening, Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC), institutional orientation and other requirements applicable to a particular assignment.

Schedule and Compensation

* Casual/contract opportunities.

* Work schedules and hours will vary according to the particular government assignment/SOW.

* Compensation will vary according to location, assignment requirements, qualifications and experience.
