Day shift - (overtime available) 7:00am - 3:30pm (M-F, 8 hour shift)

Night shift - (overtime available + premium) 5:00pm - 5:30am (M-Th, 12 hour shift)

ABS Machining is a leading custom fabrication and manufacturing company specializing in manufacturing and production of large, complex welded assemblies ranging from 10,000 lbs to over 200,000 + lbs. Position Overview:

We are seeking highly skilled Production Finisher (Deburring) that will be responsible for finishing and smoothing machined or fabricated metal parts by removing burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections. This role ensures that all parts meet quality, safety, and customer specifications prior to final inspection or shipment.

Position based in Mississauga/Burlington.

Key Responsibilities:

- General deburring and grinding of large machine and fabricated components.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, slag, and weld spatter from machined and fabricated components.
- Break edges to specified requirements (e.g., radius, chamfer, edge break per drawing).




- Ensure all parts are secure to handle (no sharp edges or hazards).
- Perform grinding, sanding, polishing, and surface blending as required.
- Ensure parts meet visual and dimensional finishing standards.
- Ensure parts are properly tagged and identified (Job # / WO #, Etc.) throughout finishing process.
- Stamping/part marking per QA, PO or DWG requirements.
- Cleaning, packaging of components.
- Support final inspection readiness.
- Protect finished surfaces from damage during handling and staging.
- Use overhead crane for handling, clamp/unclamp work piece.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures.
- Communicate with supervisors or quality personnel about any defects, non-conformances, or equipment issues.
- Assist with other finishing operations as needed
- Follow all PPE requirements (face shields, gloves, hearing protection, etc.)
- Be aware of hazards including sparks, dust, sharp edges, and rotating tools.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements (CCOHS/WHMIS).

Qualifications:

- 3–5 years experience in deburring, grinding, or metal finishing (heavy industry preferred)
- Experience working with machined components and/or weldments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings and understand finishing requirements
- Proficient in using hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.




- Basic understanding of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) an asset.
- Forklift & Crane Experience an asset
- Able to work overtime and shift work
- Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
