Key Condo Management Ltd. is posting this opportunity on behalf of our client, The Royal, Condominium Corporation No. 1910993. The successful candidate will be employed directly by the Condominium Corporation.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, professional, and service-oriented Head Concierge to lead the front-of-house concierge operations at a well-established condominium community in Calgary, Alberta.
Our building consists of approximately 225 residential units and 450 residents. The Head Concierge will be the primary leader of the concierge team and will play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, professional, and exceptional residential experience for our residents and their guests.
The successful candidate will be a confident leader with excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong customer-service mindset, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Concierge & Resident Services
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, guests, visitors, contractors, and service providers.
- Provide a warm, professional, and personalized level of service to residents.
- Develop strong relationships with residents while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Coordinate resident requests, deliveries, move-ins and move-outs, amenity bookings, visitor access, and other concierge services.
- Assist residents with general inquiries and provide information about building procedures, amenities, services, and local resources.
- Handle resident concerns and complaints promptly, professionally, and discreetly.
- Maintain a high standard of appearance, professionalism, and hospitality at the concierge desk and throughout the lobby.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, train, coach, and support the concierge team.
- Establish clear expectations and ensure consistent service standards across all shifts.
- Prepare or assist with staff schedules, shift coverage, and vacation planning.
- Conduct shift briefings and ensure important information is communicated between team members.
- Monitor staff performance, attendance, punctuality, appearance, and adherence to building procedures.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to improve customer service and operational performance.
- Assist management with performance reviews and employee-related matters when required.
Building Operations & Security
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of building policies, procedures, emergency protocols, and security systems.
- Monitor access to the building and ensure appropriate visitor and contractor procedures are followed.
- Coordinate with property management, security personnel, maintenance staff, contractors, and emergency services when required.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and building-related issues.
- Maintain accurate incident reports, logs, shift reports, and other required documentation.
- Escalate maintenance, security, safety, and resident concerns to the appropriate management personnel.
- Assist with emergency preparedness and ensure concierge staff understand emergency procedures.
- Protect resident privacy and confidential information at all times.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate daily logs and records.
- Coordinate and monitor package and delivery procedures.
- Manage keys, access devices, parking-related information, and other building-controlled items as applicable.
- Assist with contractor and vendor access and maintain appropriate records.
- Communicate important building notices and operational information to residents and management.
- Monitor concierge supplies and identify operational needs.
- Assist the Property Manager with special projects and other duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a concierge, hotel, residential property, hospitality, customer service, security, or front-desk leadership role.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Exceptional customer-service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A professional, polished, and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult or stressful situations.

- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn building management and access-control systems.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional additional shifts when required.
Assets
- The following would be considered an asset:
- Experience working in a luxury condominium or high-end residential workplace.
- Hotel or hospitality management experience.
- Experience managing or supervising a concierge/front-desk team.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Security-related training or experience.
- Knowledge of Calgary and local services, restaurants, transportation, entertainment, and amenities.
- Experience with condominium management software, access-control systems, CCTV, or visitor management systems.
