About Milestone
Milestone Menopause Centre of Southern Alberta is building a new standard in menopause care: thoughtful, compassionate, comprehensive, evidence-based, and centred on women who are ready for real answers.
We are not a standard clinic environment. We are a purpose-built Centre where medicine meets hospitality. Our care is delivered with clinical excellence, clear communication, warmth, respect, and thoughtful follow-through.
An essential role. A wonderful team. Meaningful work.
Licensed Practical Nurse | Full-time, permanent | Onsite in Calgary
Starting wage: $24–$27 per hour, based on experience
Some people have a gift for helping a busy day feel calm, organized, and deeply caring. If you’re an experienced LPN who brings that kind of presence to your work, we’d love to meet you.
Our LPN is at the centre of Milestone’s day-to-day clinical flow - supporting the women in our care, anticipating the needs of our providers, and ensuring significant details are thoughtfully and consistently attended to. This is someone our leadership team depends on deeply and whose contributions are noticed and valued.
What you’ll take care of
- Opening the Centre and preparing it for the day ahead.
- Reviewing the schedule and relevant charts in advance, anticipating individual care needs, and ensuring treatment rooms and visit information are ready.
- Supporting intake, taking vital signs, confirming key medical information, and assisting providers within your scope.
- Reviewing relevant laboratory results and investigations in the provincial electronic health record according to established Centre processes.
- Coordinating laboratory specimen preparation and pickups.
- Maintaining accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Supporting the day-to-day management of our nurse phone line, including triaging medication- and symptom-related questions, documenting the relevant information, and routing each concern through the appropriate clinical pathway.
- Keeping medical and front-of-house supplies stocked and organized.
- Communicating proactively and escalating clinical or operational concerns early so nothing important is missed.
As your confidence and familiarity with Milestone grow, you’ll also become an honorary member of our wider booking team. We’ll provide the tools and training you need to jump in and support the daily needs of the women in our care - from helping direct incoming concerns to booking follow-up appointments accurately in the EMR.
What you’ll bring
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta, in good standing.
- Previous LPN experience and sound clinical judgment.
- Confidence working in an electronic medical record system.
- Exceptional communication, professionalism, and discretion.
- A strong commitment to privacy and accurate, same-day documentation.
- The confidence to work within your scope, ask questions, and escalate concerns early.
- A calm, compassionate, and dependable presence—even when the day is busy.
- Close attention to detail and an eagerness to learn the preferences and rhythms of a collaborative provider team.
You won’t be expected to figure everything out alone. You’ll receive structured onboarding, hands-on cross-training, clear processes, and support from clinical and operational leadership.
