Duties
- Perform comprehensive tree assessments to identify hazards and growth patterns in utility corridors.
- Execute pruning, trimming, and removal of trees using advanced rigging techniques to prevent interference with power lines and other utilities.
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts safely to access elevated work areas for pruning or maintenance tasks.
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools to map and document tree locations, conditions, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities to ensure the health and aesthetics of surrounding areas, including planting, mulching, and soil management.
- Apply horticultural principles to promote healthy growth while adhering to environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members on complex rigging operations for safe removal or pruning of large or hazardous trees.
Skills
- Proven experience with rigging techniques for safe tree removal or pruning in utility environments.
