Overview

We are looking for a reliable, experienced and professional Salon Assistant / Receptionist to join our team.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working in a busy salon environment, works quickly and efficiently, and understands the importance of providing excellent service to every client.

Duties

- Greet clients warmly as they arrive, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable
- Manage the front desk by scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling inquiries efficiently
- Assist hairstylists with basic hair styling tasks and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean workspace
- Promote retail products and upsell services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the salon to ensure a safe environment
- Support daily operations by organizing supplies, managing client records, and handling payments
- Foster excellent communication with clients and team members to ensure smooth service delivery

Requirements





- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Ability to handle retail sales and upselling opportunities confidently
- Car is required
- Attention to sanitation protocols and maintaining a clean work environment
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to contribute to a positive team atmosphere
- Previous front desk or receptionist experience in a salon or retail setting is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- Hair styling: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
