- Pay Rate: $58.50 /hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 52 weeks
- Location: Horne Payne, British Columbia / Hybrid (Candidates must be based in the Lower Mainland)
Raise is currently hiring a Project Manager – Business Change L1 on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to support business process and organizational change initiatives, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our client is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Project Manager – Business Change L1 will be responsible for successfully delivering low to medium-risk business process change and related projects within the Security, Business Continuity and Emergency Management portfolio. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional project teams and manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, resources, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
This role will work closely with stakeholders, Change Management, and Communications teams to support stakeholder engagement, training, communications, and the transition of project outcomes into business operations.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: Develop and manage project plans, scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, action items, and deliverables.
- Business Change: Lead business process change initiatives and support effective transition of project outcomes into business operations.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as a business process liaison.
- Risk & Reporting: Identify and monitor project risks,
track benefits and resources, prepare status reports, business cases, and project documentation.
- Change & Communications: Partner with Change Management and Communications teams to develop stakeholder engagement, communication, and training plans.
- Project Delivery: Monitor project progress, resolve issues, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery within established quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably within a utility or similar environment, with experience managing business process change initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams and manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Strong knowledge of project and change management practices, stakeholder engagement, communications, and project reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
- Nice-to-Have Assets
- PMP or other Project Management certification.
- Knowledge of project management processes.
- Experience delivering projects in an energy or utility setting.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience working with Change Management and Communications teams.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Operations, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
Additional Information
- Candidates must be based in the Lower Mainland and able to work in a hybrid work setting at the Horne Payne office.
- This is a Security Sensitive Position.
- Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 laptop for the duration of the assignment.
- Every contractor must supply their own smartphone to gain access to the organization's network.
