Agardy Glass & Aluminium Inc.is proud to be in business for over 35 years. We are a full-service glass and aluminium company specializing in service and installations in Toronto, the GTA, Ottawa and other areas in Ontario. We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to join our team.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates, analyzing project requirements, coordinating with clients and suppliers, and supporting the overall pre-construction and bidding process.

Examples of our scope of work (but not limited to) include:

- Commercial storefronts / curtain wall
- Vestibules
- Aluminium and frameless swing and sliding doors
- Glass partitions (frame and frameless systems)
- Stairs, balustrade and smoke baffles
- Fire rated glass and frames
- Mirrors and back painted glass
- Shower enclosures
- Specially glass
- Oversized glass

We use a verity of tool and equipment to complete our scope of work.

Some of the equipment we use but not limited to includes:

spider cranes

scissor lifts

hoists

As a senior estimator you’re responsibilities/ tasks and what you need to know (but not limited to):

- Client management
- Following up with clients on pricing to secure projects
- Read blue prints
- Interpret manufactures drawings/instructions
- Scheduling/ planning for project deadlines
- Safety management/risk prevention for on site project completion
- Professionally interact and respond back in a timely manner with clients, venders, other trades and other parties required.
- Site visits (Job walk throughs, pre-construction meetings..ect)




- Proficient in using Microsoft office package (excel, word..ect)
- Review drawings, take offs, material count, to price projects to client
- Work with other team members to get pricing out and connect with team on how award projects where prices/ discussed with client/ suppliers
- Review other estimators takeoff, material and pricing prior to sending to clients if they need help or if it’s a complex project.

What you need to succeed (but not limited to):

- Post secondary school at a respected institute (York, Humber..ect) in Business or a Construction trade program (civil engineering, architectural studies, building and renovation.. etc)
- Experience in construction industry, dealing with projects from small to large scale
- Strong communication (oral and written), people, management and leadership skills
- Creative thinking and strategic skill
- Blueprint & tape measure reading
- Able to understand your weaknesses and strengths
- Knowledge of different glass types
- Understanding of installation of glazing interior and exterior
- Understanding Alumicor, Windspec & Commdoor product lines.
- 7 Years of experience in glazing

Workplace information & requirements

- A valid Ontario drives license/ government issued ID is required
- Valid clean “G” license is required to be eligible to drive a company vehicle

Workplace certificates/licenses (not required but preferred)

- CPR Training
- Joint health & safety committee part 1 & 2

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
