Join us on event day in your local community. You can choose a specific role and shift(s) based on availability.
Description
The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.
This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Kwantlen Polytechnic University Surrey Campus.
- Greeting, thanking participants, and providing their t-shirts
- Accepting forms/registration documents
- Hand out (pink) t-shirts
- Answering basic questions about the Run for the Cure
- Assist with clean up and site tear down
Why we need you
It is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause.

Your commitment
Availability on event day - Sunday, October 4, 2026. Shift time: 7AM - 3:30PM.
The end time of the shift may occur earlier than scheduled.
Location: Kwantlen Polytechnic University Surrey Campus – 12666 72 Ave, Surrey, BC V3W 2M8.
Please note that Setup Day will take place one day prior to the Run Event, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the same location. Volunteers are welcome to register for both Setup Day and Run Event Day; please submit a separate application under the ‘Run Site Setup Team’ volunteer position.
