Just Like Family Home Care is a proudly Canadian-owned and operated home care provider dedicated to helping individuals live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes.

We are seeking experienced, compassionate, and dependable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to support clients in Keswick, Sutton, and Georgina Island, Ontario.

In this role, you will provide personalized home and community care to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and clients requiring additional support, promoting their independence, dignity, safety, and well-being.

Duties

- Personal care, bathing, grooming and hygiene assistance
- Mobility, transfer and safety support
- Dementia care and companionship
- Supporting clients with disabilities and varying levels of independence
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Medication reminders within the PSW scope of practice
- Transportation or accompaniment to appointments, where applicable
- Emotional and social support
- Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition or needs
- Completing accurate and timely caregiver documentation
- Supporting clients to maintain dignity, independence and quality of life

- Ability to communicate appropriately with clients, families, schedulers and the broader care team
- Strong attention to documentation and care notes
- Consistent attendance and commitment to accepted client assignments

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

- A recognized Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or Diploma (proof will
- be required)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector check (obtained within previous six months)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Robust written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to use a smartphone for scheduling, communication and electronic care documentation
- Ability to provide two professional references who can speak to your caregiving
- experience and reliability




- Ability to provide required health/immunization documentation

Previous professional experience supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities and/or

clients living with dementia is strongly preferred.

Note: A valid driver's license, appropriate automobile insurance and reliable

access to a vehicle are strongly preferred due to the community-based nature of

our services.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
