About the Role
This position is crucial for managing and administering requests for quotes (RFQs), quotes, and customer interactions in the automotive sector. The role ensures timely and detailed responses to customer inquiries and supports various departments with pricing and proposal management. By maintaining databases and handling customer portals, this position supports the organization in achieving its sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage RFQs, quotes, and program documentation.
- Prepare detailed quote response packages for customers.
- Review contracts and resolve financial issues.
- Maintain sales and quotation databases.
- Explain and defend proposals and quotations to customers.
- Generate and review Quote Capital Approvals with management.
- Provide pricing information to program teams.
- Manage customer portal systems for assigned clients.
- Conduct capacity studies and manage capacity requirements.
- Handle engineering changes and update necessary documentation.
- Perform all job functions adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain work area according to organizational standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of a college diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- 3-4 years of experience in quoting.
- Strong financial knowledge.
- Understanding of injection molded plastic parts.
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
